Meet your design team.

It is our goal to help you make sense of it all. Sojourn is based on 4 cornerstones which will give you confidence when you purchase from us. This is the value of what we provide.
The first cornerstone is product knowledge. Our design team receive training on all of our product lines. We bring in manufacturer representatives to educate our staff on new product introductions, revisions and enhancements.
The second cornerstone is design expertise. Our design team is especially selected based on their previous design experience, education and most importantly, passion. Expect qualified advice every time you visit regardless of who you talk to.
The third cornerstone is service. Our design team is here to give you a pleasurable no-pressure shopping environment. You receive courteous and professional service. We will follow up with any inquiries you might have in the time promised.
The fourth cornerstone is design consultations. Selecting furniture can be confusing and daunting. We offer two types of consultations to assist you in selecting the perfect furniture pieces. We have complimentary in-store consultations where we assist with space planning and colour selections to ensure everything will work well in your home. In addition, we offer in-home design consultations where we come to your home for a set hourly design fee.
Tina
"From early childhood to present day, Tina has been influenced by the world of Design. Growing up in England, in a Southeast London Borough, the likes of Mary Quant had quite the impression on her. By the time she was 8 years old she had created a clothing line for her dolls & homes for them to live in. Merely planting the seeds of what was yet, to come.
Starting out in the Fashion Industry during the 80's it was only a matter of time that her other passion for Decorating would soon take over. The transition was seamless since the artistry she possessed was natural & intrinsic. By the early 90's the crossover began while she was residing In Montreal. She started to free-Lance, taking on faux finishing projects, small renovations & transforming spaces into works of art. Upon moving to Calgary in 1997, as a new Mum, she started working in Home Furnishing Boutiques. While continuing to provide Design Services, Tina added custom furniture design to her repertoire. Focusing on Metal and Iron, she created tailor made interior & exterior railings, furniture & accessories for residential and commercial spaces.
Over the course of her 18 year experience, her internal compass in Design and Style has generated bold and unique Interiors that resonate with her clientele. She has been the Manager & Senior Designer for Sojourn since its inception and is very proud to call this place her second home."
Candice
"Creating and designing since she could pick up a pencil, Candice has always wanted to bring her visions to life.
Growing up, she was involved in art classes, dance and choirs but always took an interest in design. Candice harvested many basic design skills by watching her father as a child. Always involving her in & around the house's projects, she learned to paint, lay tiles and refinish furniture. Learning these techniques came with the realization that it was fun and exciting to see ideas transform into actuality.
Shortly after graduating from design school, Candice joined the Sojourn team in 2005 where she was eager to put her creativity to good use. In autumn of 2008, she journeyed to Vancouver for a change of pace, however; she felt truly at home in Calgary with her family and friends.
As of April 2010 Candice Arcuri is back on board with Sojourn as the assistant manager.
Candice believes that our personal surroundings reflect everyday life and how we project ourselves. "There's no place like home." Wizard of Oz"
Whitney
"Calgary as always been where Whitney has called home, but having moved around quite a few times in her youth she quickly realized the importance of making any house into “home”.She feels that your surroundings should be a reflection of the person living in them and the life that they’ve built. She strives to help her client’s create a space that represents and welcomes them. For the passed six years Whitney has been working in designed based retail and has also attended Mount Royal College partaking in their decorating program. All though learning a great deal through her schooling Whitney feels she has learned the most through her experiences in the industry. Her Passion lies in the use of colour and textiles to create life and define emotion within a home. She strongly believes the most important “Rule of Design” is in fact “relaxing” the rules and creating a space that is functional for your lifestyle and ensuring that the end result is a home that you truly love."
Caylee
"Since childhood, Caylee Scott has been passionate about design. As a little girl, she would spend hours organizing and rearranging her room again and again until she created her masterpiece. Caylee could easily visualize a floor plan and choose colors and pieces that would help the space flow better just by walking into a room. She began to redesign spaces for her friends and family using existing furniture and accessories that they already had, just to create a more harmonious and balanced home. After graduating from Western Canada High School, Caylee wanted to pursue a career in something that she ultimately loved to do, something that could combine her business and creative skills into one, so she chose to pursue her career in interior decorating and design. Caylee enrolled in the interior decorating and merchandising diploma at Bow Valley College which allowed her to learn the principals and elements of design, with the real life skills needed to be a successful decorator, such as confidence, knowledge, business skills, and passion for design.A month after graduating with her diploma Caylee joined the Sojourn team where she is continuously learning to apply her personal skills and education in the interior design field."
Chad
"As long as I can remember Design has been a passion of mine. As soon as I was old enough to draw I started drawing floor plans of houses and Rv’s of all things . I would spend hours playing Lego building houses and designing furniture for them. I remember going through the sears Catalog and would redesign my family members houses in my head and come up with better Lay outs. On many occasions my parents would come home to their house rearranged. I grew up in the country just outside of Wainwright Alberta I always wanted to go into interior Design but coming from a small town that was not really an option being a guy and all. I moved to Calgary to go to school and worked with high risk high behaviour Individuals. I started helping friends out with redoing their house and realised that this was what I was meant to do. I took a job at a design furniture store where I earned a ton of experience in management and design I took the interior Decorating program at Mount Royal collage and have never looked back. I soon realized that one day I wanted to have my own store. So I soaked up all the knowledge I could. I dreamed of one day having my own store. That Day came and now I am one of the owners of Sojourn. I am so proud to be the face of a Company that is committed to offering our Clients well-made furniture, at affordable prices. We Pride ourselves in our customer service as well as our staff are not just” sales staff” but Designers, committed to making your house a Home."
